For the past couple months, folks in the Defiance community have been noticing (and recording) a series of strange codes found in trailers for the game, as well as in promotional posters and materials of the like. But what's it all about, what are these codes good for?

Up until now we really haven't had a clue but today's announcement from Trion Worlds finally sheds some light on what the team has been up to!

Defiance players have collected these codes for a while now and today they actually became redeemable for in-game inventory items on http://defiance.com/en/my-ego/. The codes are spread out all over the place, so you just have to keep your wits about you and your eyes open as you're checking out Defiance trailers, posters and promotional materials.

So far, about 20 of these codes have been discovered and the community has banded together to compile them all in a single list, available in a Google Docs spreadsheet. To clarify, multiple people can redeem these codes so it's important that if you find some you share them in the Google Doc!

The promotion is just the sort of thing we love and the rewards are lucrative, ranging from a simple 2 additional inventory slots all the way up to custom in-game titles. If you find any codes, make sure you redeem them at http://defiance.com/en/my-ego/, post a note in the spreadsheet for other Defiance players to stay connected and drop a note in the forums for good measure.
